EU rules for vacuum cleaner

The second phase of the regulation also includes lower energy consumption from 62 to 43 kWh / year and a series of prescriptions to extend the useful life of the equipment, for example the engine should be designed to function properly for at least 500 hours, while the the tube must still be intact after 40,000 live oscillations.

Other requirements relate to the suction efficiency of dust from rugs and hard surfaces; In addition, household appliances should not re-enter more than 1% of dirt previously removed from the air.
